Antique Khorassan Persian Rug, circa 1920Classical Persian lotus and sickle palmettes repeat in graceful radial symmetry linked by a fine mina khani trellis of vines on this elegant antique Khorassan. The soft hues of green, blue, ochre, and aubergine stand in gracious harmony against the warm ivory ground. A vinescroll border of similar configuration repeats rhythmically on a deeper ivory ground continuing the color effects and design texture of the field.
