As we head into the latter part of August, what better way to celebrate the end of the summer solstice than with a good old fashioned BBQ, ya’ll. Well, let me tell you cool cats a little somethin’ somethin’, there is no need to deck out your diggs with some cheap-o Party City paraphernalia. Steer clear of that Wal-Mart clearance outlet, and if you even think about setting foot in a dollar store, ex out of this screen and join a bowling league.
These days creating a chic table setting is equally as important as finding the perfect spice rub for that 100% organic grass-fed beef tenderloin. Whether you’re looking to go all “America, the Beautiful” for your spread or try a modern twist on today’s barbecue, make sure to keep it classy. Fresh cut floral arrangements are always an added charm to your outdoor dining sesh. Try spicing up your table with a fun and lively decor including personalized seating cards, vintage baroque table cloths and napkins, or add a little flair with a cultural element ranging from cute themed favors to alternative utensils.
My personal favorite for the summer’s end extravaganza is trimming the table in a Parisian theme whilst serving up baguettes, fine cheeses, and enough champagne to make Marie Antoinette come back from the dead. Adding miniature Eiffel Towers amidst candles and fresh cut roses will make for a fine centerpiece. Dust off the fine china, pop a bottle of bubbly, press those linen napkins, and you’re set!
