Art Deco Rug, Country of Origin: Sweden, Circa Mid 20th Century — Like many other attractive Swedish rugs, this carpet uses minimal shapes and abstract forms with bright colors to convey a distinct feeling of completion. A soft, violet border surrounds the piece, regular and rectangular until it leads to the core of the rug. A brown oval shape irregularly frames the taupe shape of the background. Within this core is a series of horizontally running black lines and triangles set above them, with the lines serving as a base. These triangles come in all sizes and colors, and they all feature a hovering white triangle outline above them.
