The dark stitches describe a circle, with an unfurling aura leading to blossoms at the longer ends. An eight-petaled blossom sits at the center of the round shape, standing out against the lightness with dark petals. A hazy, light blue fills the space behind the central flower, giving the medallion of this Persian Malayer rug some extra depth. Diminutive flowers fill the space immediately around the circle, giving the figure weight against the blank ivory background of this beautiful Shabby Chic rug. Around the edge of the central field, leafy shapes curl in, embellished with small botanical details. A solid, pallid line separates the inner field from the border, which adds further definition and interest to the grounding elements throughout. Geometric decorations in a tribal theme wrap through the widest border, made with black stitches.
