Vintage Swedish Kilim Rug, Country of Origin: Sweden, Circa Mid 20th Century — Reflecting its Swedish rug theme and style, this carpet showcases a pleasant style, one that is simplistic in color and form. A single thin gray border surrounds the kilim before giving way to a thicker maroon frame. Dividing the space between this primary hue and the bright red field at the carpet’s central area is a brown chain of stems. At strategic and symmetrical points around this thin border are blocky flowers, colored with cobalt blue, creamy beige and buttermilk yellow. The two distinct styles of flowers are arranged according to alternating patterns throughout.
