Modern Nazmiyal Atelier Silk and Wool Rug with Geometric Pattern, Country of Origin: Central Asia, Circa Date: Modern
Here the shapes crowd instead of separating. A terracotta half-disc and a rust circle stack down the centre, a pale sage square lands across both, and an apricot circle rises behind them. Two thin olive bars run out to the left edge. Lower down, a grey half-disc, a slate wedge and a butter triangle collect around a horizontal orange bar.
The palette is dusty rather than bright — terracotta, sage, apricot, grey — and it sits on a peach ground that warms everything above it. Where shapes overlap, the wool and silk pile turns the junction into a change of depth rather than a hard seam. Busy for geometric rug design, and deliberately so.
At 6 ft by 9 ft this is a living-room piece that will carry a quiet room on its own; see the 6 x 9 size rugs for scale. Price is available on request, and the Atelier can rework it at other dimensions as a custom rug.
