This delightful Gabbeh rug embodies an abstract persona with a stark ecru field framed by geometric patterns woven in a variety of warm, earth-tone hues.

Tribal Persian Gabbeh Rug, Persia, Mid-Century – Here is a very attractive and beautifully made vintage rug — a vintage Gabbeh rug that was originally made by the master rug makers of Persia during the middle part of the twentieth century, during a massive revival in Oriental rugs that was occurring throughout the Western world. This beautiful Gabbeh is void of any design within the central space of the element. No patterns spot the papyrus colored background. This breathtaking Gabbeh is in spotless condition, washed over with a deep orange and inky black, weaved with a checkered pattern of dirty ivory and ebony squares. A piece that represents both an ancient and extraordinarily important rug making tradition as well as more modern interests in Oriental rugs, this is a unique rug by any standard that is sure to bring beauty and sophistication to any home.
