Vintage Verner Panton Textile, Country of Origin: Denmark, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century — This rectangular vintage textile by Verner Panton is comprised of two mirroring squares and emblematic of the famed designer’s style known as Quadrat (Square) in the 1960’s. The top square features eight square shapes sitting within each other, ranging from a light sunny orange to burgundy, with solid rows of orange and red ombre in between. The bottom square reverses the colors in the opposite order, with burgundy as the outer square and light sunny orange in the center. These futuristic patterns make one think of a stylized sun and can be used to bring a sense of warmth to a space, even mixing well with Panton’s famous monochromatic gray-scale fabrics.
