Overlapping arches, circles and elongated geometric forms unfold across this abstract Nazmiyal Atelier rug in a composition that feels spacious despite its large scale. Much of the design is drawn in exceptionally pale cream and sand tones, allowing stronger passages of sage green, rust orange and smoky blue-gray to emerge gradually rather than compete for attention.
At the center, a tall sage-green form intersects a broad rust-colored circle, dividing it into contrasting halves and creating the rug’s strongest focal point. A slender dark line hooks around the upper left of this arrangement, while an elongated blue-gray arch rises independently on the right. Smaller fragments of terracotta, ochre and ivory appear around them, giving the composition the quality of shapes continuing beyond the visible field.
The quieter geometry is just as important. Broad concentric arcs are barely separated from the warm beige ground, appearing almost as shadows behind the more saturated forms. Similar low-contrast curves return near the lower left, creating a subtle visual rhythm that connects the upper and lower portions of the rug. Mottled variations within the colored areas soften otherwise precise edges and give the silk and wool rug a more painterly appearance.
