Antique Ottoman Embroidery, Turkey, 18th century Finely-wrought flowering vines with serrated small palmettes in blue and pointed red rosettes sprawl in circular array across this antique round Ottoman textile.  A radial cluster of the vines at the center acts as a medallion of sorts, while others in serial array make up a border. The pattern has a delightful quality of endless but delicate motion, pleasingly balanced by the delicacy of the colors.
