Antique Teheran from Persia, Early 20th Century - A remarkable allover design of various sorts of trees unfolds gracefully across the field of this supremely elegant antique Teheran. Between the trees are small cartouches containing different animals: lions, deer, birds, and even pools of fish. The ground of the cartouches alternates between light blue and tan in staggered arrangement, varying and animating the horizontal-vertical placement of the field elements.
