Bidjar Rug, Persia, Circa 1900 - Narrow guardbands and elegant borders featuring a reciprocating floral pattern frame the stately field. Stepped quatrefoil medallions woven in alternating shades of red and ivory are set over an exceptional blue field and embellished with bracketed Herati leaves and inset stars.
