Vintage Moroccan Rug, Circa Mid 20th Century — While many vintage Moroccan rugs are known for their simplicity, subtly, and neutral colors, this rug shows just how versatile Moroccan rugs can be. While still containing the classic “rugged” style Moroccan weave, this rug turns things up a notch with vivid colors and intricate patters displayed across its surface. The multi-colored square shapes being orderly at the bottom of the rug and become increasingly chaotic as they move upward. By the time they reach the top of the rug the squares are barely recognizable amidst the frenzy of distorted colors and shapes. This deep symbolism is a true work of art.
