Vintage Long and Narrow Gallery Size Persian Serab Oriental Rug, Country of Origin / Rug Type: Antique Persian Rugs, Circa Date: 1930’s – This Persian antique rug features a repeating pattern over a red field with a slight orange tint. The vivid body is filled with rows of stylized and simplified floral shapes, each row offset from the next in a regular march. The dark stitches, accented with hints of yellow and white, form a near latticework, enclosed by a series of borders. The set reflects about the widest central band, a yellow length twined through with an angular vine bearing teardrop-like leaves. The light hue is a welcome contrast against the warmth of the antique tribal rustic Persian Serab rug. The innermost and outermost edgings are matching bars of interlocked blue and black, another counter to balance the brimming heat, creating a welcoming aspect.
