Woven in northwest Persia, this stately triple medallion rug depicts three exquisite octofoils with latch hook extensions, claw-like peduncles and phenomenally detailed outlines. This beautiful and tribal small scatter size Antique Persian Heriz rug features a saturated blue background that showcases a spectacular array of ancient symbols, including carefully outlined stars, segmented rosettes, endless knots and charming bird motifs. Crenellated fence inner borders, elegant floral guard bands and botanical main borders embellished with hourglass amulets enclose the elegantly styled field while continuing the classic triad of brick red, Prussian blue and ecru that is featured throughout the composition.
