The broad oatmeal-colored medallion is punctuated with rectilinear floral motifs that are mirrored in the spandrels and warm mahogany-red field, which features a subtle textural abrash. Branching appendages and extended limbs that emanate from the central medallion cut across the warm mahogany background adding to the detail and interest of the whimsical right-angle motifs featured throughout the field and borders. Sharp crenellated guard bands overlap the warm mahogany field and soft beige borders of this wonderful vintage Swedish rug.
