Like so many other stunning antique Caucasian Soumak rugs, this one relies on angular lines presented in diagonal formations to lead the viewer’s eyes around the piece. From the vibrant borders layering around each other to the lines present at the core of the antique rug, there is a very strong degree of geometry present, adding rigid grounding to the otherwise whimsical elements present at the foreground.
