This textural masterpiece from Morocco features soft monochromatic borders and a sublimely textural field decorated with a deeply symbolic Tree of Life motif.

Moroccan Rug, Morocco, Mid 20th Century – This beautiful and exciting vintage rug – a Moroccan piece made by the master rug weavers of Morocco during the height of Moroccan rug production in the middle years of the twentieth century – is a truly wonderful piece. This lovely rug possesses many of the qualities most sought after by collectors of such rugs, and would make a proud addition to any home. Soft ivory borders with a strong monochromatic presence frame the strongly textured field, which incorporates rich fleecy brown pile with ivory accents. The somber walnut brown field is dominated by a towering Tree of Life motif with branching extensions that form a columnar figure with strong vertical movement and a classic minimalist presentation. All in all, this is a piece that is not to be missed. Its beautiful design and solid composition make it not only a highly desirable piece, but a genuine work of art.
