Vintage Mid Century Modern Art Deco Emilio Pucci Rug, Country of Origin: France, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century – Conceived by the iconic Emilio Pucci, this vintage rug is a great artistic accomplishment. Over a field of bright green, this rug features an art deco sun. Its body rests in the lower corner, comprised of colorful rings and nestled against a wedge of pale red and white. Rendered in the same sunny shades of white, greens, and light and dark reds, long, tapered rays extend from the sun, creating darker hues where they overlap. The rays outspread in pairs and one trio, reaching nearly to the boundary of the rug, their colors a strong contrast to the green background. A trim band of reds with one line of dark green-black borders the rug.
