Fine details are strikingly established along the borders and central field of the Oriental rug. In this masterpiece, the viewer can notice many of the motifs shared with Persian Isfahan rugs, particularly around the borders of the rug, where many of the motifs are elegantly outlined with darker colors in order to accentuate their shape. The rich colors chosen around the borders lead the viewer’s eyes to the very heart of the rug. Here, many metallic tones are chosen to create a more luxurious presence throughout the rug, culminating at the heart of the Persian rug, where the metallic tones are almost three-dimensional in their presentation.
