Rare Square Size Decorative Persian Antique Tabriz Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa Date: 1900 – An aged mist seems to touch this antique Persian rug, creating a dreamily indistinct and vintage appearance. The elaborate pattern of this square size antique rug spreads over the flaxen body with dark gold outlines detailing individual petals to give the floral components an embossed look. Curling vines link up along the antique Persian Tabriz rug, allowing the eye to trace over the complex design meditatively. A series of borders encloses the central field. Both outermost bands are thin, backed in blue and decorated with alternating orange and cream flowers rendered in a simple style. Two wider bars follow, each filled with sprays of blossoms over a red-orange background. In the midst of this square size antique Persian Tabriz rug rests a wide strip of pale blue with ornate yellow and orange floral displays.
