Vine scrolls allow the viewer’s attention to flow over the multiple borders that grace this lovely work. Between every fine curve of the vines are geometric blossoms, which are charmingly woven and vivacious in their presentation. The focal point of this antique rug is the bold boteh pattern in the center, repeated in vivid shades. Between each boteh pair are small birds and flora, charmingly positioned around the piece to inspire unity and familiarity.
