Deeply notched palmettes, ornamental rosettes and elaborate Harshang motifs dot the softly variegated midnight blue field. Crisp contrasting outlines define the grand palmettes and set the secondary botanical motifs off from the dark, stormy ground. Warm flaxen yellow guard bands and elegant slate blue borders filled with turtle-and-vine scroll motifs frame the richly colored and boldly decorated field. The beautifully diverse color palette and linear patterning pay homage to traditional Persian and Caucasian patterns while taking on a new Jacobean, Arts and Crafts style that is equally attractive and traditional.
