The largest single ornament is a four-lobed leafy structure in the exact center of the carpet. The background bears a complex decoration of pale flowers and angular design elements that separate the primary, darker figures of the antique Persian rug. With nearly tone-on-tone stitching, the faded red-gold designs create an intricate backdrop without dominating the larger whole of the antique Persian Tabriz rug.
