This finely detailed and finely woven green color medallion carpet from Malayer in Persia features characteristically rich colors, including natural celery green in the central medallion, apricot-pink and oxidized Persian blue used in the traditional floral borders. The pastel peach-colored spandrels featuring dominant lotus-flower motifs fill each corner while delicate vine scrolls decorate the central medallion.
