Antique Sultanabad Rug, Persia, 1920 — True to the Persian design, this antique Sultanabad carpet features a very eclectic and rich mix of angular patterns and tones. Deep, cobalt blue and rich, fiery vermilion complement and contrast each other throughout the antique rug, creating a rich dance of borders and backgrounds in which the viewer can lose themselves. Flowery figures and winding, leafy vines are featured throughout each of the borders and backgrounds, colored a gentler shade of the primary blue.
