Small Vintage Persian Sarouk Rug, Country of Origin / Rug Type: Persian Rugs, Circa Date: Vintage / Mid 20th Century – Neatly wrought with perfectly contrasting shades of blue and orange set off by a dark navy blue, this Persian rug showcases a complex diamond-shaped medallion in the center. The navy medallion is filled with floral elements that are separated from each other by scant threads, giving the impression of inter-connected-ness. A stair-step border bounds the dark medallion, which is tipped on the top and bottom with smaller, matching accents and surrounded by a pale orange rectangular body. Flower shapes and fantastical winged creatures in white and blues fill this Sarouk rug, which is bordered by a set of intricately detailed bands in cream and blue.
