Beautiful and Exciting Vintage French Art Deco Rug, Country of Origin / Rug Type: French Rugs, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century– A colorful oval design dominates the central area of this French art deco rug, its sunny yellow and sky blue background stitched with purple that moves from abstract circles out to bunches of grapes. Feathery layers of those colors plus mauve shades ring this area, creating a nest that accents the bright tones. Harvest-hued rays extend from behind that pattern, making a three-dimensional illusion that lends to the sunny tone of the center. A brown scalloped border follows this oval shape and shifts into another scale pattern with warm hues, fluffy clouds peeking from behind in each of the textile’s corners.
