Vintage Kilim Rug by Agda Osterberg, Sweden, Mid 20th Century — Set in a traditional Swedish kilim style, this rug showcases an eclectic range of colors and shapes. Everywhere the viewer turns, there are lines of movement and flow, unifying the seemingly sporadic details of the piece. A single dark brown frame is broken up at the top and bottom by creamy blocks of color and sets the groundwork for the range of movement at the center. Bright blues, royal purples, earthy olives and vibrant reds are set alongside each other in contrasting color patterns through a series of rectangles down the carpet’s center.
