Antique Malayer Runner, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa: 1920 —  Like many gorgeous antique Persian Malayer rug in the runner sizes, this piece is designed to lead the eye down through the vibrant collection of shapes and tones. A soft beige background defines the largest border that the carpet; a pleasant collection of angular flowers create flow and movement within this border, standing out against the backdrop. The large frame is further hemmed by two beautiful red lines, containing a series of diagonally running green forms. An inky black background creates an elegant flow at the center of the runner, allowing the forms within to appear even more defined.
