The unique carpet-within-a-carpet composition features a spectacular flower-filled arabesque that is set over a robust scarlet-colored field and enclosed by a bold saffron-colored frame with sweeping French-curve cutaways and crenellated border motifs that meet with a sumptuous ivory ground. The expansive composition continues in the elegant series of secondary guard bands that frame the beautifully crafted main borders. An exquisite cartouche with elegant inscriptions is carefully tucked into the multiplicity borders. Undulating leaves artfully separate the magnificent reciprocating pattern that features elegant bouquets set over a ruby-red background and similar bouquets that are set over a crisp white background, which artfully completes the composition.
