The use of lighter cream color to define the symmetrical floral elements gives it an almost stained-glass effect, only in reverse. The general layout of the ivory Persian Sarouk rug looks to be inspired by Art Deco rugs that were being produced in other areas of the world at the time. It is not known if this was truly the case, but the artistic elements of this design era are present. Of course, this piece will add an air of authenticity if you have a historic home from this time period.
