The elegantly rendered patterns feature an amalgam of naturalistic elements that combine in such a harmonious and stylistic fashion.

Throughout this the main field of this Indian piece we find various floral design patterns. As one inspects these floral elements more closely, they will realize that the design which encircles each flower and creates a grid like pattern separation between them, is actually made up of a series of love birds.

This antique Indian embroidery textile was actually intended to be used to create a skirt. The large field would be used for making the top part which would be secured around the woman’s waist, while the smaller band on the left would be the bottom.
