The expansive field is dotted with classic Tekke elephant’s foot guls and lesser known Gurbaghe guls that are recognized by their distinctive barred ends and roof-like contours. The modular tiles have a traditional repeating pattern form with center and corner decorations that create larger tiled blocks. In a traditional Bokara manner, the borders and heavily decorated end pieces feature an original assortment of beautifully drawn symbols that are rooted in history and superstition.
