Traditional dragon motifs rendered in alternating colors represent a benevolent protector of life with power over the earth, air, water and weather. Ivory inner borders feature wine cup embellishments and divided squares set around reciprocating vine scrolls. Sapphire blue outer borders feature poly chromatic lozenges decorated with jewel-shaped accents and flanked by barber-pole pillars. The alternating border motifs are juxtaposed against a decorative end piece featuring a variety of colorful ladders with directional fingerling extensions.
