Clean lines, clear colors and auspicious symbols create a perfectly balanced composition. Delicate scroll work roundels and tone-on-tone fretwork fences embellish the weighted borders along with bright bian fu bats arranged in a decorative tete-a-tete position. Pinyin insignias wrapped with circular fretwork accents mark the corners of the rich indigo-colored field creating a smooth transition to the border finials along a crisp mitered angle. Rich variegated stripes and abrashed color changes give the stark field a richness and depth of color tempered by the neutral main borders and dark outer borders.
