Antique Primitive Persian Tribal Kurdish Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa Date: 1900 – This characteristically ornate antique Persian carpet, a tribal design antique Persian Kurdish rug that features multiple borders that frame the foreground. The color palette begins with a background of mocha and latte shades, which are combined with a brilliant tangerine and navy pairing that feature accents of porcelain and buttercream. Floral design chains in a variety of bold shades dance along the smaller frames. Larger cross-like geometric shapes make up the body of the larger border. Two powerful diamonds dominate the foreground of the work as smaller geometric shapes parade about and within the larger landmarks. Charming geometric depictions of humanoid figures reside along the lower half of the piece, dressed in aprons and other articles of bright clothing.
