The vibrant gold and yellow exterior in this antique Persian rug is rigid and sunny in its presentation, and the interior of the borders are lined with a series of dancing petals and blossoms. The largest of the frames is surrounded on both sides by smaller ones, and the overall gold tones of the exterior lead the viewer’s eyes to the center of the antique rug, where the vast majority of the background is defined by the mystical dark blue nightscape.
