Vintage Persian Bidjar Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century– Bidjar rugs, from the northwestern town of Bidjar in Iran, are prized for their durability. They are made using a weaving technique that creates highly compact fibers, and the result is an extremely heavy and durable rug that still features many fine details. This is a lovely example of a Persian Bidjar rug. The rusted red and rich azure contrast beautifully with the details in white and coffee brown. The interesting geometric lattice pattern in the body is absolutely stunning. This piece would go beautifully in a wide hallway.
