The borders consist of a series of three equally proportioned bands that surround the field. Each of these is decorated with a repeating pattern, while the innermost band is colored an ivory shade that separates out the borders from the field. The field itself of this antique Persian rug is colored the same shade of rusty, ruddy orange that appears on the two outermost borders. Throughout the field, a series of delightful and exciting details appears, colored ivory and blue.
