Vintage Swedish Kilim Rug by Marta Maas 49029, Country of Origin / Rug Type: Scandinavian Rugs, Circa Date: Mid-20th Century – Through the relatively simple use of forms and colors, this exquisite Swedish Kilim rug , which is the brain child of the iconic Marta Maas Fjatterstorm, establishes an incredible degree of synergy and motion. Thin cream lines are arranged in a number of formations around the edges and center of the Scandinavian rug to lead the viewer’s eyes in a single direction. Forest green color stands out as the most predominant color, but bright instances of blue, red and yellow add to the palette to create a varied overall scheme. Several keyhole arrangements are set around the various horizontal bars lining the vintage rug, resulting in striking contrast and random movements that add interest and flow.
