Hamsa-like cartouches with scalloped bottoms, columnar extensions and ornate palmette ornaments form a stunning allover repeating pattern with a grand scale and a superb level of detail and complexity. Fleecy ecru cartouches alternate with reversed figures that display soft hues of oxidized brick red. Meandering vines and quatrefoil islets break through the rare and gently abrashed blue ground, which is a coveted Serapi hallmark.
