Around the medallion are garlands of naturalistic flowers arranged as swags or wreaths in a concentric layout. Floral borders of complex vines and flowers frame the pale blue field, with elements of the inner border repeatedly projecting into the field. Both the design and the palette reflect the influence of French Savonnerie carpets in Rococco style, although the detail and the drawing are classic Kerman.
