Beautiful Ivory Background Vintage Tribal Persian Afshar Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa Date: Middle Part Of The 20th Century – A regular array of highly abstracted, beetle-like forms march over the ivory field of this antique Persian rug. A warm variety of hues fill in each tribal-styled figure with earthy oranges, dusky blues and stark black, varying in color regularly to form diagonal patterns in this tribal antique rug. Diminutive embellishment adds a touch of contrast over the back of each shape. A pair of narrow bands with a stylized design in the same colors flanks one larger border. This strip is backed with black to balance the light backdrop of the interior space. Its width contains a single line of detailed, circular ornaments, which alternate between two forms in sequence around the antique Persian Afshar rug. Light-toned stitches pick the forms out against the darkness.
