Antique Persian Khorassan Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa Date: 1920– Like so many beautiful antique Persian Khorassan rugs, this one features a tremendous amount of detail and presence. It uses a royal color palette to convey motion and floral motifs, with warm colors elegantly coming together without blurring against one another. The viewer’s eyes are led from one flowing vine to the next, and the elegant borders that surround the core of the area rug lead to one another while simultaneously bringing the viewer’s attention down the runner’s length. At the center of the rug is a beautiful series of blossoms and blooms, standing against each other as if elegantly set in a beautiful and sunny field.
