Elegant ivory botehs are arranged in a strong staggered format that contrasts and highlights the mellow walnut brown field. Floral guard-bands decorated with delicate floral motifs surround the field and support the vibrant main borders that feature meandering vine-scrolls and terracotta red botanical motifs, which take on a reptilian appearance at times. This exceptional carpet creates an impressive visage using a combination of understated colors that have aged gracefully since the carpet was created during the last quarter of the 19th century.
