Decorative Antique Room Size Persian Tabriz Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa Date: 1910 – This antique Persian rug features an understated pattern in light tones of brown fills the body of this antique Tabriz rug. A four-pointed medallion rests in the middle, holding an elaborate tribal design within a jagged, cream border. The surrounding pattern repeats many times along the length and width, formed of a network of light hues against a darker backdrop. Regularly spaced flowers, perfect daisy-shaped figures, rest at each junction. Each corner of this antique rug is lighter and filled with a decoration matching the medallion. Several nesting borders wrap around the pattern. Thin, sparsely decorated bands edge a wider bar of dark brown, which holds evenly spaced flowers and leaves.
