Further, this carpet features an impressive high contrast pallet of beautiful regal tones: the main border as well as most of the detail work shimmers with a soft golden hue, while the main body of the carpet boasts a rich and vibrant shade of red. In the borders, alternating large floral details of red and pale gold sit astride a highly stylized vine scroll. Within the borders, a complex network of gold unfolds, with a tangle of animals and plants all gathered around a stately central medallion.
