The minimalist composition includes a stylish fretwork spandrel with bamboo-like nodules that is set against a magnificent and intricately decorated dragon. These exquisite motifs are placed at opposite corners of the field where they highlight the unadorned chamois-brown background, which is composed in a traditional Eastern manner that utilizes negative space to the fullest extent. The elegant dragon emblem features dramatic fins, a serpentine tail and a full mane with bearded tendrils. The dragon’s steely celadon body is embellished with savage talons, sculpted scales and dorsal fins drawn in a stylized manner.
