Beautiful Mid Century Vintage Swedish Kilim Rug, Country of Origin / rug Type: Scandinavian Rugs, Circa Date: Mid 20th Century – True to the geometric patterns and motifs of other beautiful vintage Swedish Kilim rugs, this beautiful piece uses more vibrant colors to create a stronger presence in the various patterns and elements. An outer border of bright olive green surrounds an inside border of mismatched colors, featuring stony gray on the left and right and a zipper-like pattern of orange brown on the top and bottom. Closer to the heart of the vintage rug, several mint green and pale green squares are evenly arranged around each other, and each square houses individual angular fetters and blossoms, arranged in an alternating pattern, where one follows the other. Deeper still, at the center of the vintage Scandinavian rug, is a final series of borders, featuring the same zipper-like patterns on the left and right that eventually give way to green bars housing small white crosses.
